Piano basics
Learn piano on your phone
Find your first notes, play a five-note pattern and decide whether a browser keyboard or Android lessons fit your first session.
Music learning · Android
New to music? Start with a few notes on your Android phone, practise a simple rhythm, then build towards playing a physical piano or guitar. Melody Garden offers offline lessons and on-screen practice; microphone feedback is optional.
A phone can teach note names, rhythm patterns and practice habits. Touchscreens cannot reproduce the feel of physical keys, string pressure or playing technique, so practise on an instrument when one is available.
An online keyboard is useful for tapping notes in a browser without installing anything. A dedicated Android learning app is more suitable when you want a lesson sequence and local progress, including while offline after installation.
With Melody Garden, you can choose piano or guitar and practise on screen without granting microphone permission. Optional microphone-based pitch feedback and a guitar tuner use live audio on the device. Progress is stored locally, not synced through an account.
The planned Melody Garden web version is not currently a playable online keyboard on this site. Public Android download access may depend on release or testing availability.
